A circus show about the most boring day of the year. Based on a children’s book by Adam Dahlin.
When Antti is bored he goes to Jonny The Scrap Collector and Leif Nordin – the best neighbors in the world. They claim that just like Christmas Eve and Midsummer’s Eve, there is also a Boredom Eve. It’s simply the dullest day of the year and it’s just today.
There are many fine traditions such as cleaning, wardrobe fishing and bathtub diving. But even though they strive to be really bored, they fail – they have simply too much fun.
“A visual and comic circus show about everyday sadness. With an offspring in a narrative, the group lets the circus move the story forward, with juggling, object manipulation and acrobatics. In a stage room where anything can come from anywhere and where the costume and mask for the thoughts of kitsch and pop art, Tråkmånsafton is a feast for the eye, but also a philosophy about the meaning of boredom. Circus for children and young people grows avalanche in Sweden and Kompani Giraff has established itself as one of the country’s leading groups in the field ”
